Breaking into Private Equity in Europe isn’t easy — I know because I’ve been there.

I started my career in Investment Banking at Morgan Stanley in London, just like many aspiring PE professionals. Like my fellow Analysts and Associates, I wanted to transition to the buy-side and land a role at a top Private Equity firm in London. But I quickly realized that the available prep resources were designed for the U.S. market, which operates very differently from Europe.

I didn’t give up. I reached out to hundreds of industry professionals, navigated the complex European PE recruiting process, and after a lot of trial and error, I secured my dream job at Hg Capital, one of Europe’s leading Technology Private Equity firms. Later, I launched my own PE holding company, Valoreo, where I raised and deployed over GBP 100 million.

Along the way, I saw too many talented professionals struggle to break into PE — not because they weren’t a great fit, but because they lacked access to the right guidance and insider knowledge. That’s why we founded Break Into PE in 2020: to level the playing field and provide ambitious professionals with the exact guidance they need to land roles at Europe’s top Private Equity firms.
